Don Williams - Head Coach

Donnie WilliamsDon Williams is the head coach of the Boston Renegades. Williams was on the staff of the Boston Militia for all seven of their seasons, first as a wide receivers coach and then as defensive line coach, and helped coach the team to three championships. Before deciding to focus his coaching efforts exclusively on women’s tackle football, Williams was also the head coach of the Boston Panthers and the Boston Ravens, men’s semi-professional football teams that were part of the EFL, NAFL, and the LaBelle Football Leagues. Williams played ten seasons of football on the semi-pro level as a running back and tight end before retiring to begin his coaching career. When not coaching, the 10-year veteran of the US Navy works as a private investigator.

Brie-El Parker - Defensive Coordinator

_BAR8988Brie-El Parker returns for his fourth season as a coach for Boston, and will serve as the Renegades’ defensive coordinator. Last year, as defensive backs coach, he helped the Boston Militia win their third national championship; prior to that, he coached two years with Boston English High School as the defensive back and running back coach, and played semi-pro football in Boston for five years. A native of Philadelphia, P.A., Parker was a scholar athlete who played running back at Bentley University for four years, during which the team had a record of 35-7 with two conference championships and two trips to the Division II playoffs. In addition to coaching, he is a Boston Public Schools teacher. He resides in Boston with his wife Natasha.

Michael Muccio - Offensive Coordinator

_BAR9035Michael Muccio, the offensive coordinator for the Boston Renegades, has been engaged with and passionate about women’s football since 2009. He’s been the defensive coordinator and special teams coach for the Boston Militia, and he also coached at Andover High School. Coach Muccio has had the fortune of being mentored and tutored by NFL coaches and scouts, and is a proud graduate of Bentley University and an alumnus of the Bentley Football program. Coach Muccio is excited to help lead the Boston Renegades to their next championship.

Ben Brown - General Manager

_BAR8989Benjamin Brown is the Boston Renegades’ General Manager. In 2014, he served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for both the Boston Militia and for the Boston Bandits, a men’s semi-pro football team. Both teams were highly successful: the Bandits went 8-2, advancing to their conference finals, and the Boston Militia went undefeated, securing the WFA National Championship. His experience with women’s tackle football goes back much further, however, to his time as the Strength and Conditioning Coach and General Manager for the New England Intensity from 2005 through 2013. Brown helped the Intensity improve from a 1-9 record to playing in three consecutive Conference Championship games (2011 – 2013).

Brown is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (currently re-certified with distinction) and is also a USA Track and Field and USA Weightlifting Coach. After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1996, Brown became commissioned in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Captain and serving in Iraq. Ben lives in Dedham and enjoys spending time with those close to him, shooting, golfing, skiing and making obscure song and movie references.

Molly Goodwin - Linebacker Coach

_BAR9010Molly Goodwin is the Chief Financial Officer for the Boston Women’s Football organization and the linebacker coach for the Boston Renegades. She played for the Boston Militia as a middle linebacker from 2008 to 2013, and for the Mass Mutiny in 2006 and 2007. She attended the University of California at Berkeley, where she played on the women’s soccer and ultimate teams. After college, Goodwin continued playing ultimate for eleven years, going on to win a total of 11 Ultimate Frisbee National & 3 World Championships; the only ultimate player to achieve that many titles. Goodwin grew up in Denver, Colorado as an avid football fan with a particular fondness for middle linebacker Tom Jackson and the Denver Broncos. Currently residing in Brighton, Molly is a financial planner at iCapital, LLC, a Board Member of Provincetown Cares, a former Chair for the Fenway Health Center Women’s Dinner Party, and a community organizer and volunteer.

Erin Baumgartner - Chief Marketing Officer

_BAR9018Erin Baumgartner is the Chief Marketing Officer for the Boston Women’s Football organization. She played semi-pro football with the Boston Militia for three years as a wide receiver and a safety and was fortunate to win two national titles with the team in 2010 and 2011. Before turning to a love of football she played Ultimate Frisbee for various Boston teams for 10 years. Erin graduated with an MA from NYU in 2002 after living and studying in France for several years. She is currently the Assistant Director of the Senseable City Lab at MIT. Erin is also an avid volunteer in her community, working with the elderly and cooking for the homeless. She currently lives in Somerville with her husband Tim and her toothless dog, Frank.

Mark Harding - Offensive Line Coach

_BAR8991Mark Harding is the offensive line coach for the Boston Renegades, and was the quarterback/wide receiver coach for the Boston Militia. Prior to that, he had extensive coaching experience in the semi-pro Eastern Football League, including his time as the head coach and owner of the Granite State Knights. He also played for ten years with the Randolph Oilers in the EFL, and had the honor of being inducted into the Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.

Alan Lockhart - Defense & Special Teams, Defensive Line

_BAR9034Alan Lockhart, a veteran coach of both men’s and women’s football, will be working with the defense and the special teams for the Boston Renegades this season. His prior coaching experience includes two seasons with the New England Intensity, three seasons with the New England Storm, and thirteen with the Randolph Oilers, a men’s team in the Eastern Football League. Lockhart played for the Oilers himself until an injury cut his playing career short, after which he turned to coaching to stay involved with the game he loves. Coach Lockhart is excited to be a part of the Renegades’ season. He lives in Dorchester.

Jennifer 'Coco' Edwards - Defensive Line

Coco Edwards is a 9-year veteran player, now beginning her coaching career by assisting Coach Lockhart with the Renegades’ D line. She is excited to be able to support, motivate, and challenge the Renegades and improve her coaching skills at the same time. Coach Edwards is a Fitness Instructor and Manager at Partners Healthcare who graduated from UMASS Amherst as a Legal Studies major. Not ashamed to be a Dallas Cowboys fan, Edwards also plays flag football and basketball for fun.

Gary Fisher - Defensive Backs Coach

_BAR8993Gary Fisher will be coaching the defensive backs for the Boston Renegades. He has ten years’ experience playing semi-pro football as a wide receiver and a defensive back, but his love of football goes back to his years playing Pop Warner as a kid. He coached the highly successful Timilty boys’ football team from 2011 to 2013, and also has experience as a boys’ basketball coach. Coach Fisher attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst; he is currently working as a youth life coach and studying at Cambridge College.

Cliff Ashley - Kicking Coach

_BAR9030Cliff Ashley joins the Renegades staff this year as the team’s kicking coach. He has been involved with women’s football since 2006, serving as the athletic trainer and kicking coach for the New England Intensity for eight seasons, accompanying them through seven trips to the playoffs and the National Championship game in 2012. A soccer player for almost 40 years, he played soccer and lacrosse in college, graduated with a degree in Athletic Training, and has been professionally involved with athletics ever since. He has worked in minor-league baseball for the Marlins, in minor-league hockey for the Bruins, and for the US Women’s Rugby team. He was the Head Athletic Trainer at Berkshire School for several years, and then taught in the Athletic Training Program at Northeastern University during his graduate studies in Exercise Physiology. He is very excited to join the Renegades, and he hopes that his knowledge of kicking and his years of experience in athletic/biomechanical analysis can help the team continue their championship tradition.
