PLAYER INFORMATION

“All over the place” might be a good way to describe the omnipresent linebacker who teammates call “Beefy,” having grown up in five different countries. In high school, Sarson could be found on indoor courts as a volleyball player, outdoor fields as a lacrosse player, and on the slopes as a competitive skier. As a member of the Wilfrid Laurier University Golden Hawks, Sarson’s team won the Canadian collegiate lacrosse championship in the three of the four years she played there, and she was named team captain in her senior year.

“Being an athlete my whole life, when I graduated college, I felt lost. When I found football, not only did I find a way to keep my competitive side going, I found a team and the companionship that I was missing. Now I’ve been playing for a few years, football means so much more. I love playing to show girls and women everywhere that they can do whatever they want to do.”

Sarson quickly honed her craft as a linebacker, garnering an All American selection in 2014 as a member of the Boston Militia with whom she was twice a national champion. After some time away from the game, Sarson has picked up where she left off, as a havoc-wreaking linebacker, now for the Renegades. Off the field, she is an environmental scientist who hopes one day to be a contributor to the International Panel on Climate Change.
