Originally a member of the 2002 Philadelphia Liberty Belles of the National Women’s Football Association, Mia Brickhouse joined the Massachusetts Mutiny in 2005 and has been a fixture with Boston Women’s Football since. Widely regarded as one of the best all-around players in the history of women’s football, Brickhouse was twice a gold medal winner with the U.S. National Women’s Football Team in 2010 and 2013, and was instrumental in the Boston Militia’s back-to-back national championships in 2010 and 2011. She was the MVP of the 2010 IWFL World Championship game. After retiring from the game in 2014, she came back as a player and a team executive with the newly formed Boston Renegades in 2015. She became a member of Boston Women’s Football’s 100 Club in 2018 with a 34-32 victory over the D.C. Divas.

Prior to football, Brickhouse was an exceptional outfielder for the Villanova University softball team from 1997-2000. During that time she set numerous school records, including most-career steals (80) and most career runs scored (137), two records she still owns today. She also ranks second in career batting average (.372) for the program. She hit a single-season high eight triples in 1999, and earned Big East Conference Honors in 2000. In 2021, Mia was inducted into the Villanova Varsity Club Hall of Fame.
