Adrienne Smith started her football career in 2006 as a member of the New York Sharks, where she began receiving numerous accolades in the world of women’s football.

Smith became a member of the first U.S. National Women’s Football Team which competed in the 2010 International Federation of American Football’s Women’s World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden – the first competition of its kind in the history of women’s sports. Her name is written in the sports history books for scoring the first-ever touchdown in the history of women’s international tackle football, on a 52-yard catch and run. Smith and Team USA took home gold in the 2010 competition. She struck gold again as a member of the 2013 team.

Smith joined the Boston Militia in 2011 and established herself as one of the game’s dominant receivers. She won two WFA national championships with Boston in 2011 and 2014. She won her third WFA title with the Boston Renegades in 2019, a year in which she also became a member of Boston Women’s Football’s 100 Club by notching her 100th victory on the gridiron in a win over the D.C. Divas. Adrienne won another WFA National Championship in 2021. Over the course of her tackle football career, Smith has been named an all-star ten times.

In 2022, Smith became the all-time WFA leader in receiving yards, surpassing a five-year mark set by Jeanette Gray of the Chicago Force.

Smith is also very accomplished in flag football. She brought home three silver medals as a five-time member of the U.S. women’s national flag football team. Adrienne was tapped by the American Flag Football League (AFFL) to lead their newly created women’s division in 2021.

In addition to being one of the top wide receivers in all of women’s tackle football history, Smith is one of the game’s most effective ambassadors, leading her advocacy efforts through her own company Gridiron Queendom.

Smith’s impact as both a player and an advocate received widespread recognition when she was named a member of Team Milk in 2022. Team Milk a group of best-in-class athletes who campaign to inspire the next generation of athletes while educating them about the benefits of drinking milk.

Before pursuing football, Smith excelled at basketball, playing in college and semi-professionally in Japan.
