BOSTON — The Boston Renegades women’s football team shared on social media a personal and inspiring video message they received from U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. The message had been delivered privately to the team’s staff and players earlier that morning, accompanying a letter from Renegades executives Molly Goodwin and Michelle McDonough addressing the cancellation of the team’s 2020 season.
The Boston Renegades are reigning back-to-back National Champions of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA), whose season was cancelled due to health and safety concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Warren represents the state of Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate and recently withdrew her bid to become the Democratic presidential nominee.
