Renegades withstand late rally to defeat D.C. 37-32

April 29, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Boston Renegades defeated their rivals the D.C. Divas by a score of 37-32. Running back Angelica Pascual #1 rushed for two touchdowns and quarterback Allison Cahill #7 passed for two touchdowns as the Renegades rolled up five scores in the first half to jump out to 21-point lead. The Divas rallied in the second half to narrow the deficit to 5 points, but on the game’s final drive, Boston’s offensive line saved the day by enabling Renegades rushers to move the chains, grind down the clock, and seal the victory.

With the victory, defensive back Briannah Gallo #24 reached a milestone of 100 victories earned on the gridiron. Originally a member of the 2007 Boston Rampage, Gallo is a four-time national champion with the Boston Militia and Boston Renegades. She joins Vicky Eddy, Amy Saur, Jennifer Olivieri, Allison Cahill, Shana Segers, Jessica Cabrera, Charlene Casey, and Amanda Alpert as a member of Boston Women’s Football’s “100 Club”.

The 3-0 Renegades take on the New York Wolves next Saturday at the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, N.Y. Boston previously defeated the Wolves 68-14 on April 13.
